Sunset Resort

Sunset Resort is situated just 6 km from Avarua in Rarotonga. Its spacious, self-catering studios and suites either boast a beachfront location, or overlook the 2 outdoor swimming pools.

The studios and suites at Resort Sunset are nestled among tropical gardens. Each features a fully equipped kitchen, a private patio or balcony and air conditioning.

Sunset Resort Rarotonga has an all-day dining restaurant and bar. Each morning it serves a tropical and cooked breakfast. An à la carte menu is offered for lunch and dinner. Some nights there are live music and dance performances.

Sunset Resort is situated approximately 7 km from Rarotonga Airport. An airport shuttle can be organised upon request, and there is also free onsite parking.

What was the highlight of Sunset Resort
Wonderful experience, will return
The Sunset Resort well met and exceeded our expectations. We had a few friends stay in different locations and overall felt like our booking offered the best value for money, location and facilities. Breakfast was included in our package. Our room was poolside with air conditioning in the main room and each of the bedrooms. We had a small kitchenette, bathroom and separate toilet. The breakfast and buffet dinners were great and reasonably priced. Extras such as cocktails and snacks were very reasonably priced. There are two pools at the resort with one offering a bar and one offering a full restaurant. Staff service was excellent and we were allowed to use all the facilities after checkout as we had a long wait for our flight out. Snorkeling in front of the resort is amazing and we spent many hours just hanging out in the hammocks and admiring the view or watching sunsets. The resort offers free snorkeling gear if you forgot yours at home. There are spas, restaurants, diving shops, car rental and bars within walking distance. The main lagoon tours, cultural events and shops are 15-20 mins away from the resort. We opted for car rental these as we had a few transports to facilitate but you can catch the bus running clockwise or anti-clockwise around the island at regular intervals. Overall, extremely satisfied. Thanks Sunset Resort.

What was the highlight of Sunset Resort
Very enjoyable and we would stay there again but next time book a study close the the beach.
Neat and tidy and excellent area on beachfront to see the sen set.
The only thing we didn't like was we stayed in a very nice studio, large and well decorated. It had everything you could want but it was at the roadside end of the property on the 2nd floor, thus is was noisy

Very Good
Liked: Restaurant staff were charming, efficient and helpful Front desk staff were welcoming and pleasant Room was spacious and well equipped and clean Beach was a 3min walk away, had access from resort The two pools were fantastic, happy hour was great
The air conditioning unit was faulty. We noticed this straight away and let the office know. After trips back and forth from the office staff and then the manager who were all giving us helpful tips (not) we were told on day three (we stayed for 6 nights) that they might have to relocate us. In the meantime we were offered a fan.. The guy came into fix it the morning we left. We were not relocated. It would have been thoughtful of them to at least given us a discount. Its a shame because apart from that everything else was great.

Rarotonga Paradise
Location is great the whole resort is beautifully run very friendly staff and very accommodating. Gardens a well kept, very clean rooms the cleaners are amazing. We will be back and highly recommend the Sunset Resort in Rarotonga
Dogs barking early hours of the morning. Traffic noise if staying in the rooms that back onto the road
